Rode NT6 1/2" Cardioid Condenser Microphone

The Røde NT6 is an extremely compact 1/2" cardioid condenser microphone, specifically designed for tough mounting applications where the highest quality audio is required.
Although clearly relevant to instrument microphones, the NT6 adapts very well to any situation where a discreet but powerful microphone is required, such as location recording.
The microphone is divided into two modular components, joined by a 3 m (10') customized Kevlar® reinforced cable.
With a true gold-sprayed condenser capsule, the NT6 capsule head measures 45 mm (1.8”) long and weighs only 42 g (1.5 oz.) The included all-metal multi-position ring provides 180 degrees of vertical rotation.
The NT6 preamp body incorporates a high pass filter and pad adjustment. The high pass filter can be introduced to reduce vibration, rumble and unwanted sound sources below 80Hz, while the pad offers a -10dB dimming level, useful when recording stronger sound sources.
The small form factor of the NT6 makes it a small diaphragm cardioid microphone ideal for use in the mid-side (M/S) stereo matrix, in combination with a large 8-shaped diaphragm microphone like the NT2-A, NT2000 or K2.
