XV1-R offers a selection of perfectly optimized presets for common recording scenarios: "production" for impeccable capture of music and multimedia; "General" for high-quality ambient, voice, or music recordings; "Meeting", optimized for meetings and conferences; "Voice memo" for voices of minimum size; and "Concert", transparent encoding of music and multimedia with automatic level enabled.

The recorder's high-quality custom microphone pair with X/Y settings supports a maximum SPL of 130 dB.
INTEGRATED EFFECTS
Built-in effects help you capture the audio appropriately for every situation. The bass cut eliminates sound vibration, the door filters out background noise, the compressor balances the volume spikes, and the limiter prevents louder sounds from distorting and trimming.
Tripod mounting socket
A socket at the bottom of the unit allows you to connect the recorder to DSLR cameras and tripods, extending the XV1-R placement options during recording.

Audio for video
The XV1-R can be mounted on a DSLR camera (DSLR) and used as a high quality video stereo sound recording device. The unit generates whiteboard tones that can later be used to precisely sync audio and video during editing.
